The client requested a platform to simplify e commerce returns in the Berlin metropolitan area. The platform includes an integrated route maker and optimiser to ensure pickups are completed efficiently from customer's homes. It includes a driver app, customer app, partner platform and admin panel. Payments integrated include, PayPal, Klarna, Giropay and German bank accounts.
The client wanted to solve the hassle associated with e-commerce returns and make the entire process frictionless.
To process e-commerce returns a lot of return information such as shipping labels, post provider details etc. needed to be provided. This was too much data entry for the average customer, making the process tedious.
We leveraged tesseract to build a powerful custom object character recognition system allowing our app to quickly scan and process return labels.
The need for manual data entry was averted and the user could submit a return by quickly taking a few snaps from their smartphone. This made the user journey significantly more efficient.
